We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team. The role involves preparing biological samples for testing, performing various examinations, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will adhere to best practices in medical laboratory sciences and keep up with advancements in the field.

• Prepare biological samples for testing, including tissue, blood, urine, spinal fluid, and gastric juices.

• Perform serological, bacteriological, biochemical, hematological, and microbiological examinations on samples.

• Conduct blood group, type, and compatibility tests, as well as full blood counts.

• Count cells in prepared samples, as well as microorganisms, including bacteria or parasites.

• Analyze biochemical composition and determine the presence of drug chemicals.

• Determine whether sample parameters fall within normal ranges and identify abnormalities.

• Summarize results and report findings in electronic format to referring physicians and medical specialists, as well as collaborate on patient care.

• Inventory laboratory stock and supplies, as well as order replenishments.

• Maintain and calibrate equipment, including analyzers, colorimeters, flame photometers, and spectrophotometers.

• Adhere to best practices in medical laboratory sciences and keep up with advancements in the field.

Certifications:

• MLT: Associates’ level ASCP certification (e.g., MLT) OR equivalent registration (AMT, HEW) required.

• MT: Bachelors’ level ASCP certification (e.g., MT, MLS) OR equivalent registration (AMT, HEW) required.
