Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort for patients recovering from anesthesia. The RN monitors the patient's level of consciousness and vital signs, provides reassurance and education to patients and family members, and assesses patients, delivers care to ventilator-dependent patients, and monitors dressings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring patient safety and comfort for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitoring the patient's level of consciousness and vital signs.
• Providing reassurance and education to patients and family members.
• Assessing patients, delivering care to ventilator-dependent patients, and monitoring dressings.
• Having one or more years of current experience within the Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit.
• Following HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of client information.
• Adhering to Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
