The Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of surgical patients who come under his/her care.
Assists the physician with the preparation of and the technical aspects of the role of the scrub person during surgical procedures.
Performs routine technical and various other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent education.
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Certification by an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies required (must be obtained within 12 months of completing the training program).
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of Operating Room experience preferred.
Certifications:
Maintenance of current BLS certification.
Skills/Abilities:
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with detailed, confidential material.
Computer experience required.
Ability to follow directions and work with precision under pressure.
Maintains sensitivity, maturity, and flexibility in coping with difficult situations.
