Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately filling and dispensing medications, providing expert counseling to patients, and ensuring the safe use of prescribed drugs. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage medication therapy while maintaining a high standard of customer service and adhering to all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and dispense prescribed medications to patients.
- Verify and interpret prescriptions to ensure correctness and appropriateness.
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage patient medication therapy.
- Manage and support pharmacy operations, including inventory control, record-keeping, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address patient inquiries professionally.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Valid Immunization Certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications (if any):
- Experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
