• Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing life support equipment.
• Assessment and Planning: Assess the health needs of patients and develop individualized care plans, adjusting as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for critically ill children.
• Family Support: Provide emotional support and education to families, explaining care plans, procedures, and progress.
• Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatments in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure patient and staff safety in a critical care environment.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, utilizing advanced pediatric life support techniques.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years, specifically in pediatric nursing or critical care settings.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.

• Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS).

• Additional certifications in pediatric nursing or critical care are a plus.
