The Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care provides comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients in a residential care setting, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate, complete health care records and reports for each patient.
Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and manage non-intravenous treatments as prescribed.
Prescribe and manage assistive devices and related treatments.
Record vital signs and other relevant medical information, ensuring accurate documentation.
Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic and clinical tests as needed.
Monitor, report, and document changes in patient conditions or symptoms.
Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
Modify patient health treatment plans based on their conditions and responses.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care setting.
Current Massachusetts RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing individualized care plans for elderly patients.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Certifications
COVID-19 vaccination, including two doses and booster.
