Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - Telemetry provides quality patient-centered care, closely monitors patients, often in critical condition, and acts as an advocate for patients and families.
This role involves assessing, planning, and evaluating care for a complex patient population while adhering to state nursing regulations and standards.
As part of a dedicated healthcare team, the Telemetry Nurse contributes to a culture of safety, shared governance, and nursing autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to patients and their families.
- Assess, plan, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical needs.
- Respond effectively to a range of health issues, from minor to critical conditions.
- Monitor patients’ cardiac activity and provide care for patients with conditions such as heart failure, diabetes, GI diseases, and other acute diagnoses.
- Adhere to nursing regulations and Board of Registration in Nursing standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain patient-centered excellence.
- Advocate for patients, families, and significant others in all aspects of care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Successful completion of the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and active nursing license in the state.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for enhanced patient care skills and professional development.
