The Ultrasound Technologist will perform high-level diagnostic imaging for adult and pediatric patients in a Level 1 hospital setting.
This position requires expertise in a variety of specialized ultrasound exams, flexibility in shift scheduling (primarily overnight), and experience with emergent cases.
The technologist will utilize ultrasound equipment to assist in diagnosing a wide range of conditions, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced ultrasound imaging, focusing on emergent exams commonly encountered in a Level 1 hospital.
Conduct specialized ultrasound exams, including abdominal, Doppler, early OB/transvaginal, scrotal, pediatric, and neonatal imaging.
Operate ultrasound equipment for transplant kidney and liver imaging.
Perform assessments for specific pediatric conditions, such as intussusception, appendix, pylorus, renal, hips, and spine evaluations.
Maintain accurate and detailed records in the EPIC EMR system.
Communicate findings with healthcare team members to facilitate timely and effective patient care.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or Diploma in an accredited Ultrasound program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a focus on both adult and pediatric cases.
Proficiency in EPIC EMR and experience working in a high-acuity hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Level 1 trauma hospital ultrasound imaging.
Certifications:
Current ARRT Tech License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
COVID-19 vaccination required.
