The RN - Oncology is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of patient safety protocols, and the ability to think critically in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver efficient and effective patient care through clear communication and collaboration with patients and healthcare staff.
Provide treatment and support to ill, injured, and recovering patients.
Assess patient conditions, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, maintain accurate records, and educate patients about their care.
Coordinate individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality care.
Work independently under supervision to implement care goals for patients.
Regularly assess patients and document progress.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support patient care.
Foster excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families to enhance the care experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or a related field.
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in oncology nursing and familiarity with oncology treatment protocols.
