Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and certified CT Technologist to join our radiology team. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT scans using GE16 and 64-slice equipment, ensuring that all procedures are carried out with precision and in accordance with safety standards. This position will involve occasional graveyard shifts at the San Diego Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency in CT imaging and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans using GE16 and 64-slice equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate results.
- Administer intravenous (IV) contrast and follow proper venipuncture protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure to both patients and staff.
- Work as part of a team to support efficient workflow and assist in other imaging tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification in CT (ARRT-CT).
- Active California (CA) Radiologic Technologist License.
- CA Venipuncture Certification.
- Strong technical skills in operating GE16 and 64-slice CT equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CT imaging in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Prior experience with GE16 and 64-slice CT scanners.
Shift/Hours
- 8-hour night shifts.
- The position in San Marcos will include occasional shifts at San Diego Medical Center, including graveyard shifts.
