The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing patient care, primarily to a geriatric population, through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will direct and guide patient education and oversee the activities of ancillary personnel, while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient care to a primarily geriatric population in the Emergency Department.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with preference for Emergency Department experience.
Critical care experience is highly preferred.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on nursing best practices.
Guide patient education and collaborate with other healthcare team members.
Supervise and direct the activities of ancillary staff, ensuring smooth operations in the department.
