As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care unit, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team, communicating effectively with colleagues, patients, and their families.
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues, ensuring timely and efficient care.
Maintain and update accurate patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
Enter and interpret computerized data/information to monitor patient conditions and support decision-making.
Follow established guidelines and policies set by the client nursing organization to maintain high standards of care.
Assist the leadership team in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
Experience in a Critical Care or Step-Down unit preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
Proficient in using computerized medical records and data systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a Critical Care or Step-Down unit is highly preferred.
Additional certifications in Critical Care nursing (e.g., CCRN) are a plus.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
