Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This role involves collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and screen for language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
  • Communicate with patients and liaise with their families, physicians, and educators to design and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Utilize a combination of established therapies and innovative techniques to deliver high-quality care.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field by attending conferences, conducting research, and expanding professional networks.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and available therapeutic options.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient history, treatment progress, and outcomes.
  • Provide mentoring and workshops for speech therapy students.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust therapy programs as necessary to ensure optimal results.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a clinical setting with a diverse patient population.
  2. Knowledge of alternative communication methods and assistive technologies.

Certifications:
  1. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
