Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Unit

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Unit. 
This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions, from simple to complex. 
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and compassionate care.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments, noting any changes in physician orders.
  • Assist physicians in examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Monitor physiological data, observe patient conditions, and take appropriate interventions when necessary.
  • Administer prescribed medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
  • Communicate care plans effectively with patients and families, ensuring understanding of hospital procedures and discharge instructions.
  • Make referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • At least one year of nursing experience.
  • Proficiency in professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and evaluation skills for nursing services.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

Certifications
  • ACLS (American Heart Association).
  • RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact).
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).

Education: Bachelors Degree

Certification: ACLS , Basic Life Support
