Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and maintaining optimal functionality of MRI equipment. This role includes providing a positive patient experience, addressing concerns, and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Safety:
  • Review patient histories and perform screenings to assess risks from pacemakers, metal implants, or other contraindications.
  • Administer contrast dyes under medical supervision and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
  • Address patient concerns and explain the MRI procedure, creating a calm environment to ensure comfort.
  • Imaging and Equipment Operation:
  • Position patients and operate MRI equipment to capture accurate images as per physician orders.
  • Conduct routine inspections of MRI machines, coordinating maintenance and promptly reporting any technical issues.
  • Workplace Safety and Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe MRI room environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Follow MRI safety protocols and ensure the functionality of imaging equipment.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide guidance and training to junior MRI technologists and assist in onboarding new staff members.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare reports, document procedures, and escalate critical issues to supervisors or relevant departments as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and adhere to imaging protocols.
  • Suggest and contribute to process improvements when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) – Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in MRI technology within a clinical setting – Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and contrast media usage
  • Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and understanding imaging techniques

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively address patient needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Certifications:
  • MRI Technologist Certification (ARRT or equivalent) – Required.
  • Additional certifications related to MRI safety or imaging technology are a plus.

Education and Experience:
  • Required: Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in MRI technology.
