We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Histology Technician to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will perform specialized tasks related to tissue processing, embedding, cutting, and preparing samples for microscopic examination. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnostics and support the clinical decision-making process.
Key Responsibilities:
Tissue Processing:
Prepare and process tissue samples for histological analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Perform tissue embedding and microtomy (cutting) with precision to produce high-quality slides.
Laboratory Operations:
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning of histology instruments.
Follow strict protocols for sample handling, labeling, and documentation to maintain sample integrity.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and quality control standards in accordance with CLIA regulations.
Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in Applied Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by CLIA standards.
Certification:
National certification in Histology by ASCP or eligibility to obtain certification.
Experience & Skills:
Proficient in embedding and cutting techniques, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong understanding of histological procedures and laboratory protocols.
Required Registries/License:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specialized staining techniques and automated histology equipment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
