We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our hospital-based imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations and support both inpatient and outpatient services. Experience with NICU or pediatric echocardiography is desired but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform 6–8 echocardiograms per shift, maintaining accuracy and image quality.
Conduct various cardiac imaging procedures, including:
Echocardiogram
Stress Echocardiogram
Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram
Rotate through assigned areas daily, covering inpatient, outpatient, and procedural units.
Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in the weekend and weekday call schedule as follows:
One weekday evening call per week (staff scheduled for weekend call are exempt that week).
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in adult cardiac sonography.
Proficiency in performing and interpreting multiple echocardiographic studies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NICU or Pediatric echocardiography preferred but not required.
Knowledge of advanced cardiac imaging techniques.
Certifications
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
