We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment, supporting patient safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
Manage loaner and consignment trays with accuracy and efficiency
Utilize instrument tracking systems and maintain proper documentation procedures
Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards
Collaborate with surgical and clinical staff to meet daily case needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills while supporting departmental goals
Required Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Experience handling loaner and consignment trays
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Effective communication abilities
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Prior experience in a hospital or surgical services setting
Familiarity with advanced sterilization techniques and equipment
Certifications (if any)
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent) preferred
Education: High School
Certification: Basic Life Support , Sterile Processing Certification
