We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in outpatient pediatrics to administer pediatric vaccines and provide care in a clinic setting. The RN will ensure safe and accurate immunizations, educate patients and families, and support pediatric health maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Administer pediatric vaccines according to CDC guidelines and clinic protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-vaccination and respond appropriately.
Educate parents and guardians on vaccine schedules, benefits, and potential side effects.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of vaccinations and patient information.
Assist with routine pediatric assessments and support providers during patient visits.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards in the clinic.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Proven experience in outpatient pediatric nursing, particularly in vaccine administration.
Knowledge of pediatric immunization schedules and vaccine storage/handling.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to educate and reassure children and families.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Ability to work flexible clinic hours.
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Experience with pediatric patient education and counseling
