We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a strong background in cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the surgical environment, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and maintaining sterile technique throughout all stages of surgery.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms for surgical procedures
Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures
Ensure adequate surgical supplies are stocked and ready for use
Prep patients for surgery, including cleansing and disinfecting incision sites
Support the surgical team by passing instruments and managing sterile fields
Maintain accountability for surgical instruments and supplies throughout the procedure
Track surgical supplies and maintain accurate inventory
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and other OR staff
Stay informed on current surgical technologies, medical terminology, and CVOR protocols
Promote excellent patient care and uphold safety standards throughout all procedures
Required Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA (highly preferred)
2+ years of experience specializing in cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical equipment, and procedural protocols
