1. Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms for surgical procedures
2. Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures
3. Ensure adequate surgical supplies are stocked and ready for use
4. Prep patients for surgery, including cleansing and disinfecting incision sites
5. Support the surgical team by passing instruments and managing sterile fields
6. Maintain accountability for surgical instruments and supplies throughout the procedure
7. Track surgical supplies and maintain accurate inventory
8. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and other OR staff
9. Stay informed on current surgical technologies, medical terminology, and CVOR protocols
10. Promote excellent patient care and uphold safety standards throughout all procedures

1. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
2. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment

1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA (highly preferred)
2. 2+ years of experience specializing in cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
3. Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical equipment, and procedural protocols

1. CST Certification (NBSTSA) – Preferred
