Responsibilities include scanning, analyzing, and auditing medical records, ensuring HIPAA compliance, managing record storage/retrieval, and assisting clinical staff with documentation. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Medical Record Management: Assembles, scans, and abstracts medical records to ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation.
• Data Integrity & Privacy: Ensures all patient information is maintained securely, upholding strict HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality.
• Information Processing: Processes requests for information from providers, clinics, and outside agencies.
• Systems Proficiency: Utilizes electronic health records (EHR) systems and manages record indices.
• Clerical Support: Transcribes data, updates demographic information, and assists with clinic administrative tasks. 

Key Requirements

• Communication Skills: Demonstrates excellent oral and written skills to interact with staff and patients.
• Compliance: Adheres to patient privacy laws, professional growth requirements, and mandatory in-services.
