JOB TITLE: Phlebotomist

JOB SUMMARY
The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood draws and related specimen collection procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, customer service, and the ability to manage a high patient volume while ensuring accuracy, safety, and patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including difficult blood draws.
• Manage daily patient volume of 50–80 individuals.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care during all interactions.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.
• Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling and work independently when required.

Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated phlebotomy skills with ability to perform blood draws independently.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage high patient volume efficiently.
• Comfort with performing difficult blood draws.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.

Certifications
• Phlebotomy certification (if required by state or employer).
• CPR certification (preferred).
