1. Deliver postpartum nursing care to patients and newborns
2. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
3. Document patient care and progress using EMR systems (Epic preferred)
4. Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and instructions
5. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and professional standards
6. Common patient diagnosis: Post vaginal delivery; post c-section delivery; intermittent post-partum magnesium or postpartum hemorrhage
7. Required Drips & Medications: IV antibiotics; IV magnesium intermittently, PRBC; rhogam, lovenox
8. Specialty Equipment: Welch Allyn blood pressure; Nihon Khoden; venodynm machine; IV pump; panda warmer; Medela Breast pump
9. Patients: Newborn
10. Number of Beds in the Unit: 13 Postpartum and 4 Continuing Care Nursery

1. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
2. Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications
3. Active MA RN license verified through NURSYS (report must include all past and present licenses, pulled within the last 7 days)
4. Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday.
5. Must have experience working in acute care setting.

1. Travel nursing experience
2. Lactation certification
3. Experience with Epic EMR system
