The Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery provides care for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures, supporting recovery and treatment in a hospital setting.
This role involves performing routine procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine procedures, including dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter care, NG tube insertion, and wound vac maintenance and removal.
- Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal care.
- Float to other medical-surgical units as needed, adapting to diverse patient needs.
- Foster a supportive environment, treating patients with compassion and care.
Required Qualifications
- Active NC RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital experience, particularly in orthopedic care.
- Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
