JOB SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide high-quality patient care within a 30-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. The OT will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients regain or improve their functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies for maximizing independence.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings.

Experience
• Experience working with neurological diagnoses is preferred.

Unit / Specialty
• 30-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit.

Skills
• Proficiency in assessing and treating patients with a variety of functional deficits.
• Ability to develop and implement creative and effective therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Kansas.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.

Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Schedule / Shift
• Shift details to be discussed.

Floating / On-Call
• Expectation to float within the rehabilitation unit as needed.
• Weekend and holiday rotations may be required.

Patient Population
• Adult and geriatric patients requiring rehabilitation services.

Education: Masters Degree
