Seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients with life-threatening conditions requiring advanced organ support and invasive monitoring. The ICU RN will work in a high-acuity environment, managing complex patient needs such as trauma, overdose, post-surgical recovery, and chronic illness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide continuous care and monitoring for critically ill patients
Manage advanced life support equipment and invasive monitoring tools
Respond quickly and effectively to patient emergencies and changes in condition
Deliver care to a diverse population with varying diagnoses including trauma, overdose, and post-operative cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to implement care plans
Document patient care and progress accurately using electronic health records
Apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking to deliver safe, effective care
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license (State or Crisis license accepted unless restricted)
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Proficiency in electronic charting systems, preferably EPIC
No eligibility for emergency license if prior disciplinary hits are present
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-acuity or trauma ICU settings
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Education: High School
