JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of disease by utilizing magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operates MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
- Ensures patient safety during MRI procedures, including screening for contraindications.
- Prepares patients for MRI scans, including explaining the procedure and answering questions.
- Administers contrast media as required and according to protocol.
- Maintains patient records and documentation.
- Performs quality assurance checks on MRI equipment.
- Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Adheres to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Schedule / Shift
- Wednesday through Friday: 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Saturday overnight: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience.
- Experience with Siemens MRI scanners.
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Certifications
- ARRT
- CPR
- ARMRIT is also accepted.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
