JOB SUMMARY
Provide skilled physical therapy services to patients in an acute care hospital setting. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and promoting patient independence.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients to assess their physical condition, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans based on evaluation findings and physician orders.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and patient education.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies to maintain functional gains.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice.

Schedule / Shift
• Weekend Rotation Required with Full-Time Therapy Staff

Required Qualifications
• Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.

Experience
• 1 year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting.

Skills
• Proficient in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Excellent manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques.
• Ability to effectively educate patients and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
