JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct patient care and treatment using radiation therapy techniques as prescribed by a physician. Operates radiation therapy equipment, monitors patient treatment, and ensures the well-being of patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions, assessing their physical and emotional well-being.
• Accurately record treatment details, patient observations, and any adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient treatment plans.
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient use.
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and potential side effects.

Schedule / Shift
• Days, 8 hour shifts.
• Start time varies between 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM based on patient volume.
• Weekend coverage required on a rotated basis (0800-1600).

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Pending CA state license accepted.
• No more than 7 days of RTO restrictions.

Experience
• 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.

Skills
• Proficiency in operating radiation therapy equipment.
• Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles and techniques.
• Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
