JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for providing direct patient care services to patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and educating patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess patients' physical condition, functional abilities, and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and endurance.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and preventative care.
• Document patient progress and treatment in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Schedule / Shift
• Weekends as required with rotation for weekend with FT therapy staff.

Required Qualifications
• Acute Care Physical Therapist experience.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state.

Experience
• 1 year of experience in acute care hospital settings.

Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills
• Proficiency in evaluating and treating a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Patient Population
• Adult and geriatric patients with acute medical conditions.

Unit / Specialty
• Acute Care Hospital

Floating / On-Call
• Will not be required to float between units.
• No on-call duties required.

Education: Masters Degree
