JOB SUMMARY
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care and demonstrating leadership in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and delegation skills to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for safe care delivery.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegates patient care priorities appropriately based on staff education and experience.
- Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel during patient care.

LTAC Days (Per Diem)
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a multi-state compact RN license.
- Two to five years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Vent/trach experience.
- Knowledge of central lines.
Certifications
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills
- Vent/trach management.
- Central line care.
- Wound care (preferred).
EMR / Systems
- EMR/charting system experience (specific system not detailed in JD).
