JOB SUMMARY
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs radioactive isotope procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously, orally, or via inhalation.
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment (e.g., SPECT, PET scanners).
- Acquire, process, and analyze nuclear medicine images.
- Maintain quality control and calibration of imaging equipment.
- Monitor radiation safety for patients and staff.
- Document patient procedures and findings.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Possess a valid state license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (if applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certifications
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Skills
- Proficient in performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and protocols.
- Familiarity with imaging equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EMR / Systems
- Experience with PACS and standard imaging software.

- Adults and geriatric patients.
