JOB SUMMARY
A Certified Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) performs diagnostic imaging examinations utilizing a variety of imaging equipment. This role is responsible for patient care, effective communication with physicians and other health professionals, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
- Administer contrast media as required.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of diagnostic images.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any changes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Document patient information and procedures accurately in record systems.
Schedule / Shift
- Variable shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- State-specific licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (e.g., CA CRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience
- Experience performing a range of diagnostic X-ray procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating various X-ray imaging devices.
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
EMR / Systems
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
