JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist with a wide breadth of current experience in various surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures by providing the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare the operating room by arranging equipment and supplies, and ensuring a sterile field.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively during procedures.
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to sterile technique throughout the surgical process.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and a strong knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.
- Float to General OR and/or Outpatient Surgery Center as departmental needs dictate.

Schedule / Shift
- 36-40 hours per week.
- Weekly total and start/end times are negotiable.
- Approximately every 2nd or 3rd weekend.
- 1-2 calls per week, potentially increasing based on department need.
- Call requirements will mirror the Vascular Scrub Team.
- 30-minute response time required for all call.
- Possible holiday call rotation may be required.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.

Required Certifications
- BLS

Floating / On-Call
- Requires floating to General OR and/or Outpatient Surgery Center.
- Requires call rotation with approximately every 2nd or 3rd weekend and 1-2 calls per week.
- 30-minute response time for all call.
- Possible holiday call rotation.

Experience
- A wide breadth of current experience in Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and other surgical specialties is required.
- Candidates lacking a full breadth of current experience will not be considered.

Skills
- Excellent critical thinking.
- Knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.
