JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for an inpatient rehabilitation unit. This role involves providing direct patient care, performing evaluations and treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient recovery and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and functional training, to improve strength, mobility, coordination, and endurance.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and adaptive strategies.
- Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust plans as necessary.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and care planning meetings.
- Maintain expertise in current physical therapy practices and technological advancements relevant to inpatient rehabilitation.

Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of inpatient rehabilitation principles and practices.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of ADLs and typical inpatient rehabilitation treatments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in inpatient rehabilitation.
- Willingness to work on weekends.

Certifications
- BLS

Floating / On-Call
- Floating to other Methodist Inpatient Rehab units is possible.
- A minimum of 2 weekend shifts per 4-week period is expected.

Education: Bachelors Degree
