Speech Language Pathologist

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients, managing a caseload of 7-10 patients daily. This role involves treating a mix of acute care and inpatient rehabilitation patients with neurological conditions, trauma, and post-intubation needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with conditions including stroke, TBI, Parkinson's, trauma, and post-intubation.
- Conduct cognitive evaluations for home safety assessments.
- Perform swallow studies.
- Provide therapy services in accordance with physician's orders and established protocols.
- Document all patient care services thoroughly and accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

Schedule / Shift
Monday-Friday with occasional weekend coverage.

Required Qualifications
- Licensed Speech Therapist within the state of Nebraska.
- Successful completion of a Speech-Language Pathology program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Certifications
- American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Experience
- Experience treating neurogenic disorders (stroke, TBI, Parkinson's).
- Experience with dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders.

Skills
- Proficient in speech and language assessment and intervention.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
