JOB SUMMARY
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Utilize the Nursing Process in the provision of patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership.
• Anticipate and plan for the safe delivery of patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or multi-state compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ventilator and Trach care experience.
• Knowledge of central lines.

Experience
• Relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
