JOB SUMMARY
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for independently performing a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aids in accordance with physician prescriptions and instructions. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles over the life span and possess the ability to assess patient data, interpret relevant information, and identify patient needs based on age-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning.
- Fabricate specialized treatment aids as needed.
- Operate a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator.
- Administer 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron treatments.
- Perform set-ups for all treatment sites within a comprehensive cancer center.

Schedule / Shift
This position may work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy (T).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist.
- Possession of an active State of Hawaii license by the start of the assignment.

Experience
- 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and/or techniques.

EMR / Systems
- ARIA EMR.
- Proficient on a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator.

Patient Population
- Adult oncology patients.

Unit / Specialty
- Oncology Services
- East Hawaii Health Cancer Center

Skills
- Ability to treat 25-30 patients per day.
- Proficient in various treatment modalities including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons.
- Competence in performing set-ups for all treatment sites.

EMR / Systems
- Epic EMR is required from November 1, 2025.
