JOB TITLE: MRI Technician

JOB SUMMARY
Provides diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to patients under the direction of a physician. Operates MRI equipment and ensures patient safety during the procedure.

Key Responsibilities
• Performs MRI examinations according to physician's orders and established protocols.
• Prepares patients for MRI procedures, including screening for contraindications and explaining the process.
• Administers contrast media as required and ordered.
• Positions patients accurately to obtain desired anatomical views.
• Operates and maintains MRI equipment, ensuring image quality and equipment functionality.
• Monitors patient well-being and safety during the MRI procedure.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follows all safety and infection control guidelines.

Schedule / Shift
• Monday - Friday: 07:30 - 16:00 or 08:30 - 17:00.
• Call: Based on department needs, currently approximately 1 night during the week and 1 weekend per month.

Required Qualifications
• State of Wisconsin Licensed MRI Technician.

Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.

Experience
• MRI experience.
• Experience with GE scanners.
• Experience with Breast MRI.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Floating / On-Call
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
• On-call duties include: Call based on department needs, currently at 1 night during the week and 1 weekend a month.
• Holidays: Call as needed, rotating with regular staff.
