JOB SUMMARY
Physical Therapist

Unit / Specialty
Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Therapy

Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient patients.
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
Administer therapeutic procedures, including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Document patient progress and treatment provided.
Maintain productivity standards, aiming for 3 units per hour worked.

Schedule / Shift
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications
PT or DPT degree

Experience
Experience providing physical therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
Previous experience working as a team player and adapting to a busy patient load.

Skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

EMR / Systems
Meditech

Patient Population
Adult and geriatric patients requiring physical therapy services.

Required Qualifications
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida. (Implied by job title at HCA Florida facility)
BLS certification. (Standard for most healthcare roles)

Certifications
BLS

Floating / On-Call
Willingness to work occasional weekends is preferred, but flexible.

Education: Doctoral Degree
