JOB SUMMARY
Assists in the delivery of quality healthcare by exercising sound nursing judgment in accordance with recognized healthcare techniques, procedures, and established standards and administrative policies. Actively participates as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and conditions.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Assist with patient scheduling and office procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.

Schedule / Shift
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Experience
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Skills
• Knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills for quality patient care and treatment.
• Proficiency in examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures.
• Understanding of medication effects on patients.
• Knowledge of patient education principles.
• Familiarity with common safety hazards and precautions.
• Understanding of physician office procedures and medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively during emergency situations.
• Ability to identify and analyze problems, prioritize, make quick decisions, and recommend effective solutions.
• Ability to administer a variety of medications and treatments.
• Proficiency in utilizing various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.
• Ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrating full range of body motion.
• Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

License/Certification/Registration
• Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Fast-paced, stressful, high traffic medical office environment.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and bodily fluids.
• May require working irregular hours.
• May require travel to other offices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Requires full range body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
• Requires manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• May involve sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
