JOB TITLE: Certified Surg Tech Certified Surgical Technician

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to provide essential support in the operating room. This role is critical in ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up sterile equipment and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and other operating room personnel with instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection control protocols.
• Account for all surgical instruments, sponges, and needles.
• Perform general cleaning and disinfection of the operating room environment.
• Assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating table.

Schedule / Shift
• 40 hours per week
• Day shift
• Rotating call

Required Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program.

Experience
• Must have surgical technician experience.

Certifications
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Skills
• Proficiency in sterile technique.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and their uses.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-pressure environment.
