JOB TITLE: Nuclear Technologist / Nuclear Medicine Technician

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nuclear Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive tracers and specialized equipment to visualize internal body structures. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, accurate procedure performance, and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging studies.
- Operate nuclear medicine instrumentation for data acquisition.
- Position patients and equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
- Process and analyze nuclear medicine images and data.
- Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment and materials.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- Document patient procedures and findings accurately in the medical record.
- Educate patients about the procedure and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Schedule / Shift
32 weekly hours

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. (Florida license requirements not applicable to associates working in Georgia.)

Experience
- One or more of the following required:
- Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Certifications
- BLS Provider (AHA or ARC)
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB
