JOB SUMMARY
The Echocardiographer performs non-invasive diagnostic tests for cardiovascular diseases to support quality patient care. This role is responsible for preliminary echocardiographic measurements, summarizing diagnostic data, and communicating information to the manager or requesting physician. The Echocardiographer utilizes phono-apexcardiograms, imaging duplex, and ultrasound equipment to perform a variety of technical duties. A high degree of confidentiality regarding personal and health-sensitive information is required.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform preliminary echocardiographic measurements.
• Summarize diagnostic data.
• Communicate findings to manager or requesting physician.
• Utilize phono-apexcardiograms, imaging duplex, and ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all personal and health-sensitive information.

Schedule / Shift
• 4x10s schedule
• Days: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend Rotation required
• No on-call rotation

Required Qualifications
• Knowledge of Cardiology.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Knowledge of basic Physics, Biology, and Anatomy.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health-sensitive information.

Experience
• 2+ years of Echo experience required.
• Experience with transthoracic echocardiography.
• Experience with dobutamine stress echocardiography.

Certifications
• RDMS
• BLS

Skills
• Proficiency in performing transthoracic echocardiography.
• Proficiency in performing dobutamine stress echocardiography.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular diagnostic procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Patient Population
• Adult and/or Pediatric patients requiring cardiovascular diagnostic testing.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bilingual or multi-lingual skills (beyond English) appropriate to the patient population served.
