The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care. This role works closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to obtain diagnostic-quality images, administer contrast media, and maintain accurate patient records. The ideal candidate has experience performing CT and cardiac imaging examinations in a fast-paced outpatient setting and is committed to delivering a patient-centered experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established departmental protocols and quality standards.
Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns.
Position patients correctly to ensure optimal image quality while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Administer intravenous (IV) contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Perform cardiac CT examinations, including coronary calcium scoring and other advanced cardiac imaging studies as required.
Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
Adhere to radiation safety principles and regulatory requirements to minimize patient and staff exposure.
Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and clinical observations within electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic services.
Maintain CT imaging equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental policies and procedures.
Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a patient-focused approach to care.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience performing computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Experience performing both routine CT and cardiac imaging examinations.
Proficiency in:
Patient positioning
IV insertion
Contrast administration
Radiation safety practices
Image quality optimization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with the GE APEX platform.
Knowledge of Cardiac CT imaging and Coronary Calcium Scoring procedures.

Experience in outpatient diagnostic imaging environments.
Familiarity with advanced CT imaging protocols and emerging imaging technologies.

ARRT(R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Radiography) Certification
ARRT(CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Computed Tomography) Certification
Current BLS/CPR Certification
State Radiologic Technologist Licensure
Education
Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related healthcare field from an accredited institution.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
Proven experience performing CT and cardiac imaging examinations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Experience with contrast-enhanced CT studies, patient assessment, and image quality assurance preferred.
