JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Scrub Technician is responsible for the safe, sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases.

Key Responsibilities
• Gather all necessary instrumentation and supplies as noted on surgeon's pick sheets.
• Ensure a sterile field is maintained throughout surgical procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies with precision and care.
• Demonstrate conscientiousness with regards to procedures.
• Be capable of accepting pressure assignments and clerical assignments.
• Perform other duties relative to the department as assigned.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Communicate effectively with department personnel, hospital personnel, medical staff, and sales and repair representatives.

Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• Possesses a current ORT certification.
• Current OR experience is essential.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
