JOB TITLE
CT Technologist (Allied)
JOB SUMMARY
Operates computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Position patients and equipment correctly for optimal imaging.
- Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the imaging procedure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Operate and maintain CT scanner and associated equipment.
- Practice radiation protection measures for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (as required by facility).
Experience
- Previous experience as a CT Technologist.
Skills
- Proficient in CT imaging techniques and protocols.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to operate CT scanning equipment.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EMR / Systems
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
