We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes. The CT Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging quality standards, and collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans and related diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns.
Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Operate CT imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Administer contrast media in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies, when applicable.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or medical emergencies.
Evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and diagnostic value.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) and radiology information systems.
Follow radiation safety standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance issues as needed.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Active and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist (RT) license, if required by state regulations.
Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R.T.).
Current ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or eligibility to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety practices.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with EMR/PACS systems.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital, outpatient imaging center, or acute care setting.
Experience with advanced CT procedures, including angiography and trauma imaging.
Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related healthcare field.
Experience working in emergency, inpatient, or trauma environments.
