JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition, administer treatments, and monitor progress.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as ventilators and oscillators.
- Perform procedures including intubations, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions.
- Chart patient information accurately and timely using designated EMR systems.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
- Adhere to unit policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Schedule / Shift
- 7P-7A (13 Weeks)
- 3-4 weekends a month required.

Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Ventilator experience required.
- Experience with 23-40+ week gestation infants required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CPN charting.
- Experience with oscillator management.

Certifications
- CPR (BLS)
- NRP

Experience
- Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting.

Skills
- Ability to interpret and respond to patient vital signs and conditions.
- Proficient in administering medications and treatments.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Centricity Perinatal
- Meditech

Patient Population
- Critically ill neonates, including premature infants (23-40+ weeks gestation).

Unit / Specialty
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Level II NICU
- Newborn Nursery

Floating / On-Call
- Floating to Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery may be required.
- No on-call requirements.

Education: Bachelors Degree
