Provides care for the surgical patient by preparing necessary supplies, equipment and instrumentation needed for the surgical procedure by using physician preference cards.

Requires knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, AORN standards, department and hospital polices and procedures.

Complies with established department, hospital and system policies.

Requires attendance at mandatory in-services and staff meetings.

Requires ability to recognize and develops action plan to achieve goals.

This position may be required to perform additional duties that are temporary in nature due to business needs.

Perform other duties as assigned

 

Both covid and flu vaccine are required, medical or religious declinations accepted with required documentation.

Certified Surgical Tech (CST)

Must have CPR.

Must be fully vaccinated
